Description: CITY OF SUNNYSIDE NOTICE TO CONSULTANTS FOR ENGINEERING/DESIGN PROJECT The City of Sunnyside solicits interest from consulting firms with expertise in Civil Engineering Design for aviation improvements. This agreement will be for approximately twelve months, with the option for the City of Sunnyside to extend it for additional time and money if necessary.   Consultants will be considered for the following project. The City of Sunnyside reserves the right to amend the terms of this “Request for Qualifications” (RFQ) by circulating addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of the time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Project Description The work to be performed by the Engineering /design consists of preparing Plans, Specifications, and Estimates for improvements to the City of Sunnyside Airport Fencing funded by the Federal Aviation Administration using entitlement funding and AIG. The proposed improvements include a partial perimeter fence around the Sunnyside Municipal Airport. The significant features of the project are as follows: •       Recommendations for any required improvements to the fencing, •       Design of fencing improvements to be retrofitted to existing fencing, •       Coordination with utility providers, •       Environmental documentation and preparation of permit applications, •       Provide the City of Sunnyside with a complete PS&E Package for Submission to AC150/5100-14E- Architectural, Engineering, and Planning Consultant Services for Airport Grant Projects. The City of Sunnyside reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases associated with this/project. Evaluation Criteria Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Qualification of Proposed Project Manager 2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm 3) Ability to meet the schedule 4) Approach to the project 5) Familiarity with FAA standards 6) Past Performance/References 7) Approach to meet the FAA goal (City of Sunnyside Airport Plan) Submittal Submittals should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed for the project. Submittals will not be accepted after that time and date. SOQ’s shall be limited to thirty (30) pages excluding a one-page cover letter and front and back covers (if used).
