Minimum Ambulance Bid Specifications

 The following specification is for the purchase of (1) new or demo Type-1 ambulances complaint with the latest revision of KKK-A-1822.

Chassis

 New (current model year) Ford chassis with (4) wheel drive. Demo units of the same year and chassis section will be considered.

 New stainless steel wheel simulators.

 Liquid Spring Suspension.

Ambulance Module

 All aluminum construction.

 Minimum dimensions: (153”) long, (94”) wide, (72”) headroom. Larger measurements will be considered.

Exterior Finishes

 Striping and graphics to be handled by the purchasing service.

 Ambulance will be OEM White upon delivery.

 Drips rails.

 Diamond plate running boards.

 Heavy-Duty bumper.

 “Matte-Flex” grated material in all exterior compartment floors, BLACK in color.

Exterior Configuration

 At least (1) compartment must be able to accommodate a “Stryker Stair Chair”.

 At least (1) compartment must be able to accommodate multiple long spine boards.

 Oxygen compartment must have (2) brackets to hold size (D) oxygen cylinders.

 NO push bar or brush guard present.

Interior Configuration

 Front cab must have “Apple” or “Android” Car Play capabilities with digital screen no less than (8) inches for navigation purposes with the

use of a connected smartphone.

 Front cab to have glove storage in the rear of the center console and in both driver/passenger doors.

 At least (1) CPR seat in the patient compartment.

 Action area with multiple outlets with lighting switches.

 Adjustable shelving.

 At least (1) sharps container.

 At least (1) waste storage container.

 “Stryker Power Load” system floor rail with wiring.

 Must be able to accommodate a “Stryker Power Load” system to be purchased and installed by the customer later.

 Sliding bench seat located in the patient compartment with safety harnesses.

 (2) drawer cabinet with slide out tray located next to the sliding bench seat in the patient compartment.

 At least (2) “IV Hangers” on the ceiling of the patient compartment.

 Must have an integrated oxygen system accessible from within the patient compartment with the ability to store a minimum of 3000 liters

of medical oxygen.

 At least (2) oxygen outlets located in the patient compartment with one being located on the ceiling over the stretcher area.

 On-board aspirator.

 Factory installed heater and air conditioner that meets KBEMS regulations regarding temperatures.

 Back-up camera with at least (1) visual monitor.

 Battery operated (12) hour or (24) hour digital clock located over the rear doors of the module.
