Project Description: The McKinley County Adult Detention Center, located at 255 Boardman Ave., Gallup, NM 87301, is a 328-bed podular facility with remote surveillance, featuring a mix of open-bay and two-person cell housing units under modified direct and indirect supervision. The single-building, two-level structure houses detainees primarily on the upper level across 10 housing units, including dedicated female, protective custody, and restrictive housing units. The lower level includes two camera-monitored suicide watch cells near the Medical Department.
The Medical Department operates 24/7/ and includes:

1secured nurse workstation/medication room
1 intake room with full-body scanner
1exam room
1restroom
The facility serves adult male and female detainees, with an average daily population historically around 150-200 (anticipated 150 in older projections, though recent sources indicate fluctuations often higher).
