Funds awarded through this LOI will be used to initiate the program, including; 4-8 residential treatment beds, withdrawal management, and peer mentor services.
The funds awarded from this LOI will enable the awardee to establish a youth residential SUD treatment and withdrawal management services program.
BackgroundStart-up activities may include (but not necessarily limited to):
- Pay the appropriate licenses, permits, and legal fees associated with program operation;
- Conduct building renovation and repairs as needed;
- Purchase the necessary medical equipment and supplies;
- Initiate a marketing and advertising campaign to inform the community about services, eligibility, referral, and intake processes;
- Cover all utility hookup fees, such as water, sewer, gas, electricity, phones, and internet;
- Recruit, hire, and train staff;
- Research and develop the following: policies, procedures, safety protocols, and compliance protocols for applicable local, county, state, and federal rules and regulations; best-practice assessment & treatment approaches for youth in need of SUD treatment and withdrawal management services; referral networks and processes; client eligibility criteria and identity protection; and,
- Generate billing and payment procedures, including data collection and reporting.
