Summary

The County of Greenville is seeking proposals for CONSTRUCTION OF UNIT 4 CELL 5 EARTHWORK AT TWIN CHIMNEYS LANDFILL, subject to the conditions and all provisions set forth herein and attached. Excavation of approximately 160,000 cy of material (soil and rock) for the future Unit 4 Cell 5 landfill cell. Excavated material to be placed in on-site stockpiles.

Background

This contract is to excavate the overburden soil in preparation for the liner construction in a subsequent RFP. Unit 4 Cell 5 is adjacent to the active municipal solid waste landfill as shown on the contract drawings (attachment C).
