Bid Title:	LEASE OF MUNICIPAL REAL PROPERTY FOR SOLAR ENERGY FACILITY

Description: Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30B, § 16, the Town of Marion seeks competitive proposals for the lease of a portion of Town-owned real property consisting of the capped landfill located on Assessors Map 24, Parcel 9, for the construction, operation, maintenance, and eventual removal of a third-party-owned ground-mounted solar photovoltaic facility, together with associated access rights and easements. The successful proposer will be responsible for the design, engineering, permitting, development, financing, installation, interconnection, operation, maintenance, repair, and eventual removal of the solar facility and associated equipment, at no expense to the Town. The proposed lease term is twenty (20) years from the date of commercial operation of the solar facility, not to exceed thirty (30) years from the execution of the applicable agreements. The Request for Proposals is available electronically only on the Town of Marion website at: https://marionma.gov/161/Bids-RFPs Sealed proposals must be received at the Office of the Town Administrator, 2 Spring Street, Marion, MA 02738, no later than 4:00 PM on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at which time all proposals will be publicly opened. The Town intends to award the lease to the responsive and responsible proposer submitting the most advantageous proposal, taking into consideration the evaluation criteria contained in the RFP. The lease is subject to authorization by the Marion Select Board. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals to the fullest extent permitted by law.
