Contractors desiring the Contract Documents for use in preparing bids mayalso obtain a setof such documents from Drexel Technologies; 10840 West 86th Street, Lenexa, KS 66214, telephonenumberis 913-371-4430. Bidding documentswill be shipped only if the requesting party assumesresponsibility for all related charges. Corporate, certified, or cashier’s checks shall be made payable toDrexel Technologies, Inc.a. Only complete sets of documentswill be issued.B. Online Procurement and Contracting Documents: Obtain access after November 12, 2024 by contacting DrexelTechnologies, (913) 371-4430, www.drexeltech.com. Online access will be provided to prime bidders, and toallregistered bidders and material suppliers.C. Examination of the Bidding Documents: Bidding documents will be on file at Drexel Technologies,Inc. for bidder'sreview and examination, during normal business hours. Bidding documents mayalso be viewed on-line atwww.drexeltech.com, in accordancewith the Instructions to Bidders.1.6 TIME OF COMPLETION AND LIQUIDATED DAMAGESA. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the ContractTime. Workis subject to liquidated damages.B. Timeis of the essenceforthis Project. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shallachieve Substantial Completion as set forth: must be completed by the dates indicated below:1. Start Date: June 1, 2026.2. Substantial Completion: July 17, 2026.3. Final Completion: July 24, 2026.C. Final Completion shall be achieved as noted after the established date of substantial completion, to include theissuanceof the architect-engineer punchlist to the general contractor for the affected building area.D. Liquidated Damagesfor substantial completion will be assessedif the general contractor has not achievedadequate progressto permit schooldistrict personnel occupancy anduseofall noted areas of the building and/orsite in accordance with the dates for substantial completion noted above. Damageswill accrue and will be basedon the unavailability of the building space(s) and/orsite for their intended purposes as determined by the schooldistrict. Liquidated damagesnoted are tiered and are based onthe intended useofthe building and/orsite inaccordance with the school schedules proposedorestablished.1. Final completion of constructionrelated activities including the satisfactory completionof all punchlistcorrections shall be completed in accordancewith the timeframe noted abovefor each building and/or area.Liquidated damagesassociated with final completion shall be assessed based on anyactual costincurredby the schooldistrict due to the restricted use ofthe facility; and for costs that may be associated withinconvenience, lackof efficiency, and/ordistrict personnel costs associated with providing exclusive accessfor the general contractor to complete punchlist corrections after normal school day operation and/or onweekends orholidays. Similarly, any actual costs incurred by the schooldistrict for extended or additionalarchitect/engineer services made necessary as a result of the general contractor's inability to meetfinalcompletion will be assessed asliquidated damagesto the general contractor.E. Bidders shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the ContractTime. Work is subject to liquidated damagesin the amount of $1,000 per dayforthe first week of SubstantialCompletion. Workis subjectto liquidated damages in the amount of $5,000 per dayafter July 24, 2026.1.7. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONSA. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and beable to obtaininsurance and bondsrequired for the Work.
