Scope of Services
The Utilities Commission, City of New Smyrna Beach, Florida dba New Smyrna Beach Utilities (NSBU), invites individuals, real estate development firms, partnerships and corporations ("Respondents") to provide insights on unique and creative ideas for the potential development of property owned by NSBU (the "Subject Site"). The Subject Site for potential development consists of +/- 600 acres located within the City of New Smyrna Beach, also referred to as the Western Utility Complex (WUC).
Respondents should consider this opportunity as a blank canvas to pitch ideas for the development of and use of the Subject Site. This is a process to gather information and ideas from the public/development industry to better ensure community engagement and expand the potential for development to benefit NSBU and the City of New Smyrna Beach community. While NSBU has some expectations, current and planned public purpose uses, regarding the development of the Subject Site, NSBU invites anyone with ideas to submit a Response to this RFI.
Responses to this RFI will be evaluated solely for informational purposes and will not lead to the awarding of any contract. However, it is expected that the information and ideas obtained will be used to contribute to the creation of future competitive solicitations which may result in one or more agreements with a Respondent.
