Description

1. Purpose & Scope

The purpose of this acquisition is to procure exactly three (3) brand new, commercial-grade emergency medical transport vehicles for the Federal Correctional Complex (FCC) Yazoo City, Mississippi. These specialized vehicles will replace inoperable equipment that is beyond economical repair. They will serve as the primary institutional transport mechanism to safely, rapidly, and efficiently move sick, injured, or distressed inmates and staff from various outdoor locations on the compound directly to the Health Services Department for emergency medical treatment.

• Description: Meet or exceed 2026 Yamaha First Responder Mini-Ambulance specifications (48v AC electric preferred / EFI gas acceptable) with full-size top, red LED light bar, and Stryker Floor Mount.


• CLIN 0002: FOB Destination Freight/Delivery Charges to Yazoo City, MS 39194 – Quantity: 1 Lot


• CLIN 0003 (Optional Item): Optional Extended Warranty – Quantity: 3 Each

4. Technical Specifications & Operational Requirements

All offered equipment MUST MEET OR EXCEED the technical performance and dimensional standards detailed on the manufacturer spec sheet for the 2026 Yamaha First Responder Mini-Ambulance:

• Preferred Powertrain (Electric): PowerTech 48-volt AC electric motor (6.7 hp output rating) equipped with a NEOS 350-amp AC controller. Must meet or exceed by including a 105Ah High-Output Lithium Battery Pack Upgrade with an on-board lithium battery charger installation. Must remain continuously plugged in/charged when not in use.


• Acceptable Powertrain Alternative (Gas): QuieTech EFI Yamaha-built 357 cc low-emission single-cylinder engine with electronic fuel injection and pedal start system.

• Standard Electrical & Features: Headlights, taillights, horn, USB plugs, digital battery meter (electric) or gas gauge/hour meter (gas), and a full-size top equipped with a red LED light bar.


• Stretcher Integration: Fitted with an active Stryker Floor Mount system to securely lock and anchor a standard medical stretcher for use on the compound outside next to the Health Services Department.


• Required Warranty: Must meet or exceed the standard 2-year limited vehicle manufacturer warranty.


• Optional Warranty: Vendors may submit pricing for an optional extended warranty as a separate line item (CLIN 0003).


• Operation & Maintenance: Dedicated for staff use during institutional medical emergencies. Maintenance of this vehicle will be regularly performed by the Facilities Department.
