Category: Open Bids -- Project Manager Status: Open Bid Recipient: Sheryl Rozier, Executive Director of Coastal Projects & Board Liaison Description: The Park Board of Trustees of the City of Galveston (Park Board) is accepting Sealed Proposals for East Beach Seaweed Berm Relocation Project, 1923 Apffel Rd, Galveston, Texas 77550.
All questions shall be in writing, submitted to: Sheryl Rozier, Executive Director of Coastal Projects and Board Liaison (EDCP), For security reasons, you must enable JavaScript to view this E-mail address. Questions are due on or before July 14, 2026 @ 5:00pm CST. Responses will be answered after the question deadline in the form of an Addendum. No responses will be given to questions submitted after the deadline. Questions submitted outside of Sheryl Rozier, EDCP or designee, will not be answered and any communication with another Department prior to award by the Park Board will disqualify the proposal.
Sealed Proposals must be submitted in writing to Sheryl Rozier, EDCP, Park Board, 601 Tremont, Suite 201, Galveston, Texas 77550, no later than 2:00pm CST on July 20, 2026. Clearly mark your submission “East Beach Seaweed Berm Relocation Project”. Proposals will be opened immediately after at 601 Tremont, Galveston, Texas 77550. Proposals delivered via email or facsimile will not be accepted.
The project should be started as soon as possible, based on Trustees award at the July 28, 2026 meeting and subsequent signed agreement. The project should be substantially complete by September 3, 2026. This substantial completion should take into account the required verification by a 3rd party surveyor (hired by Park Board) to confirm the cubic yardage relocated meets 1:1 permit requirements.
