Bids will be accepted from Contractors prequalifiedby the Maine Department of Transportation for Bridge and Highway Construction Projects. Allother bids may be rejected. This Project includes a wage determination developed by the State ofMaine Department of Labor.The work consists of culvert repairs at three locations. At the Long Creek Culvert at MM45.90 in the town of South Portland, the work generally consists of constructing two access ways asneeded and sliplining the existing 78” reinforced concrete pipe culvert with a 72” liner pipe. At theUnnamed Stream Culvert (MM 57.10) in the town of Cumberland, the work generally consists ofparging all joints of the existing 72” reinforced concrete pipe. At the Unnamed Stream Culvert (MM91.30), in the town of Litchfield, the work generally consists of constructing two access ways asneeded, sliplining the existing 60” reinforced concrete pipe culvert with a 54” liner pipe, andremoving and replacing the existing culvert headwall. The work also includes maintenance of trafficand all other work incidental thereto in accordance with the Plans and Specifications.The half size Plans and Contract Documents may be obtained from the Authority uponpayment of One Hundred ($100.00) Dollars for each set, which payment will not be returned.Checks shall be made payable to: Maine Turnpike Authority. The Bidder to whom a Contract is awarded will berequired to furnish a Surety Corporation Bond, satisfactory to the Authority, on the standard ContractBond form of the Authority, for a sum not less than the Total Amount of the Proposal.Proposals must be made upon the Proposal Forms furnished by the Authority separately withthe Contract Documents, and must be enclosed in the sealed special addressed envelope providedtherefore bearing the name and address of the Bidder, the name of the Contract, and the date andtime of Proposal opening on the outside.A pre-bid conference will be held on February 24, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maine TurnpikeAuthority, 2360 Congress Street, Portland, Maine.
