The City of Joplin, Missouri will accept sealed bids until April 1, 2026 10:00 A.M., at the office of the Director of Public Works, 602 S Main St. Joplin, Missouri in the 4 th Floor Conference Room for the purchase and installation of the following:
MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING ELEVATORS
Modernize / Upgrade
Justice Center Elevator and Fire Station #4 Elevator
This project includes supply of and installation of updated elevator equipment at:
Dr. Donald E. Clark Justice Center 303 E. 3 rd St. and Fire Station #4 3402 S. Main St
.
A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on March 20, 2026 at 10 A.M., at the Dr. Donald E. Clark Justice Center 303 E. 3 rd St.in the lobby area at the south entrance for all prospective bidders. Anyone not attending the pre-bid meeting will not be considered in the final award of the bid. Questions or other information can be obtained by contacting Jeff Tennis at 417-624-0820, x1299.
This is a prevailing wage project and should be reflected in the bid price, as per Missouri State Wage Order No.32. Wages paid within the scope of this project should be in alignment with or above the given range for this type of construction. This work is taking place in two separate counties; therefore, the current wage orders for both Jasper and Newton County will have to be followed.
A bid bond or certified check for five percent (5%) of the total bid amount must accompany each bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an indemnity bond in the amount of his bid.
The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to re-bid at a later date. The City may waive any irregularities in the bid or negotiate variances from specifications and make awards that are in the best interest of the City. The City will have final decision in all matters regarding acceptance of bids and issuance of awards.
The City encourages minority and female owned businesses to submit bids on all City projects.
