Description: Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by Whatcom County Purchasing at its Office in the Administrative Services Finance Department located on the fifth floor of the Whatcom County Courthouse, 311 Grand Avenue, Suite 503, Bellingham WA 98225 for the following: Local Disaster Recovery Group Partner for Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) Grants UNTIL: 2:30 PM on Tuesday, November 19, 2024 At which time and place the responses will be publicly opened, and the names of the submitters identified. All interested people are invited to be present. Late submittals will not be considered. Whatcom County Flood Control Zone District (County) reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any irregularities. The County is requesting proposals from qualified non-profit disaster recovery groups to: Provide local assistance to Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) elevation grant recipients in all aspects of home elevation from planning to completion; and Provide local assistance for future FEMA Hazard Mitigation Assistance (HMA) grant recipients if additional funding becomes available.
