King Station Multimodal Transit Center Environmental Impact Statement/Report
Request for ProposalsThe Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC) is requesting proposals from qualified and interested consultants or consultant teams to conduct an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for a proposed multimodal transit center (MMTC) to be located along First Street and Pearl Street, King City, CA. The MMTC will serve as a hub for multiple transportation modes, including bus, rail, and potentially light rail, and is intended to enhance regional connectivity and promote sustainable transportation options.
The MMTC, when completed, will re-establish a passenger rail station, initially as part of the existing long-distance Amtrak Coast Starlight passenger rail service. The station is also expected to serve as a stop for the expansion of intercity passenger rail service being planned in the Central Coast Intercity Passenger Rail Corridor.

Proposals for this RFP shall be submitted no later than 12:00 noon on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to the Contracts and Grants Coordinator, Ryan Bigelow, ryan@tamcmonterey.org. Proposals received after the date and time specified above will not be considered.
