Background and General InformationPurposeThe Durham Workforce Development Board (“DWDB”) is issuing this solicitation to fund aproposal that provides workforce development services to Workforce Innovation andOpportunity Act (WIOA) eligible youth ages 16 to 24 in Durham County. Proposals shouldpresent innovative and creative strategies that enhance a customer’s ability to move into self-sustaining employment, resulting in an upwardly mobile career path and higher earningspotential. Programs should include strategies that reflect effective integration of services withother partners of the Durham NCWorks Career Center and proactive strategies to involveemployers in design of service strategies and implementation of the program.
