Summary

The purpose of this solicitation is to receive proposals from qualified contractors for complete professional janitorial services at several Town facilities.

The service provider must be reputable, experienced, and capable of providing superior cleaning services for Town-owned facilities. The intent in soliciting proposals is to obtain a timely, consistent, and cost-effective contract from one contractor to ensure clean and safe facilities for employees, citizens, and visitors doing business with the Town.

The intent in soliciting proposals is to obtain a timely, consistent, and cost effective contract from one contractor to ensure clean and safe facilities for employees, citizens, and visitors doing business with the Town.

Both an electronic copy and a hard copy are required. Vendors must submit one of each to be considered responsive.

Electronic submissions will not be accepted as the sole submission. All hard copy submissions must be mailed or hand-delivered and must include the following verbiage on the outside of the package: Janitorial Services for Town Facilities RFP and “DO NOT OPEN.”

Background

Mooresville, North Carolina (population 55,000 +/-) is located in the Central Piedmont region of North Carolina a part of the Charlotte metropolitan area in Iredell County. The Town operates under the Council-Manager form of government, and the Board of Commissioners is comprised of seven members including the Mayor. The Board appoints a Town Manager, who serves at the Board’s discretion and directs the daily operations of the Town with the assistance of two Assistant Town Managers. Mooresville is among the twenty most populous municipalities in North Carolina. Its location along the I-77 corridor provides easy access to a sizeable population base and benefits from its proximity to Charlotte.
