Background

Zone 7's existing confined space gas detection instruments have reached the end of their service life and are becoming increasingly costly to maintain. As life safety equipment required for confined space entry, these instruments must provide accurate and reliable atmospheric monitoring to ensure employee safety and compliance with Cal/OSHA regulations.

This RFQ is being issued to procure replacement five-gas detectors, calibration and charging stations, and related accessories to support Zone 7's confined space entry program. The new equipment will improve reliability, reduce maintenance requirements, and ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements while enhancing employee safety.
