Project Description: UTHSA is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the provision of Spinal Implants and related Supplies for use in surgical procedures. The purpose of this RFP is to identify vendors capable of supplying high-quality, cost-effective spinal implants, instruments, and associated products for the newly opened Multispecialty and Research Hospital (MSRH). The products will be utilized by surgeons in spinal surgeries, including but not limited to spinal fusion, disc replacement, and deformity correction procedures.
This RFP will include a range of spinal implants including, but not limited to Odontoid Fixation, Cervical Spine Constructs (both Anterior and Posterior), Thoracic Spine Constructs (both Anterior and Posterior), Lumbar Spinal Constructs (Anterior, Lateral, Endoscopic, and Posterior), and Sacral/Pelvic Spinal Constructs. The RFP will also consider Artificial Disc, Rods, Pedicle Screws, Locking Screws, Rod Contouring Systems, Cross Links, Disc and Corpectomy Cages/Spacers (i.e., TLIF Cages, PLIF Cages, Expandable Cages, etc.) Drill Bits, Laminoplasty Constructs, Staples, Adjustable Rods. UTHSA will NOT consider Kyphoplasty or Vertebroplasty Systems within this RFP.
The MSRH features 144 beds, 12 Operating Rooms, and Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Department, Imaging Center, Lab, Bone Marrow Transplant Unit, Infusion Center, Pharmacy, and a Sky Bridge connecting to the Mays Cancer Center, home of UTHSA’s collaboration with UT MD Anderson.
This RFP will be multi-awarded to several contractors that meet the requirements listed in this RFP.
