NOTICE TO CONTRACTORSSealed proposals will be received at the Office of the City Clerk in the City Hall, City ofAntioch, California, until 2:00 p.m. on May 12, 2026, and publicly opened and read inthe City Council Chambers located at 200 “H” Street Antioch, California 94509 at 2:00p.m. on May 12, 2026.SYCAMORE DRIVE TRAFFIC CALMING IMPROVEMENTSP.W. 282-22DESCRIPTION OF WORKA. Work to be Performed: The project will consist of installing traffic striping,pavement markings and markers and traffic calming devices including all workshown on the project plans.B. Location: Sycamore Drive in Antioch, CA.The estimated cost of construction is $420,000. There is no prebid meeting.Attention is directed to the Contract Documents for complete details and bidrequirements. Copies of the Contract Documents may be obtained by logging onwww.antiochplanroom.com or by calling BPXpress Reprographics at (707) 745-3593.These may be obtained at a set price of $150.00, plus shipping and handling, and is non-refundable. All bidders must purchase a complete bid set from BPX Printing & Graphicsin order to be considered responsive and to receive addenda notifications.All Contractors and subcontractors listed on the bid proposal must be registered with theDepartment of Industrial Relations. No contract will be awarded to a Contractor orsubcontractor unless registered with Department of Industrial Relations.Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Antioch, California, hasobtained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid to the various craftsmenand laborers required to construct said improvements, a copy of which may be viewed atwww.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/PWD.Award of the contract, if it is to be awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidderwhose proposal complies with all the requirements described. Such award, if made, willbe made at a meeting of the Antioch City Council within 90 days after the opening of theproposal.No bidder may withdraw his bid after the time announcement for the opening, on orbefore the award and execution of the contract, unless the award is delayed for a periodexceeding one hundred ten days.No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance withthe provisions of Chapter 9, Division III of Business and Professions Code.For any moneys earned by the contractor and withheld by the City of Antioch to ensurethe performance of the contract, the Contractor may, at his request and expense,substitute securities equivalent to the amount withheld in the form and manner andsubject to the conditions provided in Chapter 13 (commencing with Section 4590),Division 5, Title 1 of the Government Code of the State of California.The special attention of prospective bidders is called to the “Proposal Requirements andConditions” included in the General Provisions for full directions as to bidding, etc.If you have any specific questions concerning these documents, you may contact theCapital Improvements Division at cip@antiochca.gov or call 925-779-7050.The City of Antioch reserves the right to reject any and all bids or portions thereof; toaccept a bid or portion thereof; to postpone making the award for a reasonable length oftime; or to waive irregularities not affecting substantial rights.CITY OF ANTIOCH, MICHAEL J.
