NOTICE OF INVITATION TO BID – ROAD EQUIPMENTThe Harrison County Board of Supervisors will receive Electronic or Sealed Bids for the following:ROAD EQUIPMENT:Equipment Descriptiona) One (1) Mini ExcavatorTime10:00 a.m.Bids will be received at the Board Conference Room in the First Judicial District Courthouse located at 1801 23rd Avenue,Gulfport, Mississippi, until the times listed above on Thursday, May 14, 2026. Bid Specifications Packets can be viewed ordownloaded at www.harrisoncountybids.com.“Electronic Bids” must be submitted online at www.harrisoncountybids.com prior to the opening date and time asstated above. For any questions relating to document downloads and/or registration for the electronic bidding process, pleasecall Plan House at 228-248-0181.“Sealed Bids” must be on file with the Clerk of the Board prior to the opening time as stated above. All bids must be sealed andclearly marked on the outside of the envelope as indicated “ROAD EQUIPMENT: EQUIPMENT DESCRIPTION, to beopened at the times listed above on Thursday, May 14, 2026”. Sealed Bids not so marked are submitted at the risk of theprospective Vendor/Contractor and the County assumes no responsibility for the premature opening of same by any Countyemployee.Bids sent through the U.S. Mail are done so at the risk of the Prospective Vendor/Contractor and should be addressed to theHarrison County Board of Supervisors, in care of the Chancery Clerk’s Office, Post Office Drawer CC Gulfport, Mississippi39502. The County is NOT responsible for bids that arrive in the mail after the designated opening time. Bids may bedelivered in person to the Harrison County Chancery Clerk’s Office in the First Judicial District Courthouse located at 180123rd Ave, Gulfport, Mississippi until 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, or the Board of Supervisor’s Conference roomat the First Judicial District Courthouse in Gulfport, Mississippi, until the times listed above on Thursday, May 14, 2026, aslisted above.If the agency is closed for any reason, including but not limited to: acts of God, strikes, lockouts, riots, acts of war,epidemics, governmental regulations superimposed after the fact, fire, earthquakes, floods, or other natural disasters (the“Force Majeure Events”), which closure prevents the receipt of bids at the advertised date and time, all bids received shall bepublicly received on the next business day that the agency shall be open and at the previously advertised time. The new dateand time of the receipt for bid, as determined in accordance with this paragraph, shall not be advertised, and allVendors/Contractors, upon submission of a bid, shall be deemed to have knowledge of and shall have agreed to theprovisions of this paragraph. Bids shall be received by the agency until the new date and time of the receipt for bids as setforth herein. The agency shall not be held responsible for the receipt of any bids for which the delivery was attempted andfailed due to the closure of the agency as a result of a Force Majeure Event. Each Vendor/Contractor shall be required toensure the delivery and receipt of its bid by the agency prior to the new date and time of the receipt for bids.The Owner expressly reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or any part of any or all bids based on a lowest andbest bid determination. If the bid documents request separate bids on phases or items, the Owner reserves the right to acceptor reject any or all bids or any part of any or all bids based on a lowest and best bid determination on each item for which aseparate bid is requested. The Owner reserves the right to waive informalities.
