RFI - Siskiyou County Community Care Expansion Preservation FundsBid/RFP Status:Open - accepting bids and proposalsBid/RFP Due Date:Tuesday, July 1, 2025 - 5:00pm
On April 7, 2023, the Siskiyou County Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) received funding from the State of California’s Community Care Expansion (CCE) program. This funding supports licensed residential adult and senior care facilities that serve individuals receiving Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) or Cash Assistance Program for Immigrants (CAPI).
HHSA plans to use this funding to help facilities improve life safety, livability, energy efficiency, and long-term financial sustainability. Of the total funds received, $194,809 is available for capital improvements, and $216,536 is available for operating assistance. Facilities may apply for one or both types of assistance.
Capital improvements funding can support physical upgrades like roof replacement, weatherization, and improvements to HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. More examples of eligible uses are listed on page 4 of this letter. In collaboration with the selected facility (or facilities), the County will determine which capital improvements are funded and assist in the implementation of the projects.
Operating assistance can help cover ongoing costs such as repairs, utilities, payroll costs, and insurance. More examples of eligible uses are listed on page 5 of this letter.
You are receiving this letter to see if you are interested in applying for CCE assistance. To qualify, your facility must:
- Commit to serving residents receiving the public assistance described above.
- Demonstrate a need for support to maintain financial and long-term viability.
