ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed Bids for the Fire Training Structure Project will be received by the City of Marietta at the City Building located at 301 Putnam Street, Marietta, Ohio 45750 until 11:00 a.m. (local time), Thursday, March 20, 2025, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids shall be submitted at the time and place indicated in this Advertisement for Bid. Bids shall be submitted in a single, large envelope labeled with the Bidder's name, address, project name, and project number. If the Bid is sent through the mail or other delivery system, the single, large envelope shall include the notation "BID ENCLOSED" on the face of it. Bids delivered via mail or other delivery system must be delivered by the above stated date and time of the Bid Opening.

The work covered by the Contract Documents includes the following:

Demolition of concrete pads and fence, excavation of aggregate fill, installation of engineered fill, concrete pads, aggregate drives, new chain link fence, cast-in-place concrete foundations for the pre-purchased fire training structure, along with all necessary appertaining work.

Electronic copies of the Bidding Documents shall be secured from the City of Marietta upon payment of $75.00, NONE OF WHICH WILL BE REFUNDED.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the time of the opening of the Bids.

The City of Marietta reserves the right to reject any and all Bids or to increase or decrease or omit any item or items and/or award to the lowest and best Bidder.
