PUBLIC NOTICE - PRE-SOLICITATION CONFERENCE Pre-Solicitation Conference Notice
The Washington County Water Conservancy District (district) invites interested parties to attend a pre-solicitation conference for professional design services for the Advanced Water Purification (AWP) Demonstration Facility and Conservation Garden Project (project). General contractors and suppliers of equipment and materials are also welcome to attend.
The project includes the design and construction management of an AWP Demonstration Facility that will house an Advanced Water Purification system, purifying Type I Reuse water to drinking water standards for the purposes of piloting, permitting, and public outreach. The Conservation Garden will include water-wise landscape features along with interpretive signage. The total footprint of the Demonstration Facility and Conservation Garden will be approximately 3.75 acres. The anticipated footprint of the Demonstration Facility is 2400 square feet.
The project also includes the acquisition of a Public Outreach Trailer that will contain demonstrative equipment typical of the AWP process that can be used for presentations at schools and events. It is anticipated that the project design team will be led by an architect and focused on the development of the building and garden. The architect will also work closely with the district’s Owner Advisor (Stantec), who will provide the design, sizing, utility needs, and state permitting support needed for the AWP equipment. The project will be delivered using the Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) approach, allowing for greater collaboration on scope, equipment, schedule, budget, and risk between the selected CM/GC team.
Project Scope:
- Approximate 2,400 square foot AWP Demonstration Facility
- Coordinate with district’s Owner Advisor for AWP equipment needs
- Public Outreach Trailer and promotional materials
- Approximate 3-acre Conservation Garden
- Utilities, parking, trails, local permitting
- CM/GC project delivery
The conference will include a presentation on the project and procurement process with an opportunity for questions and answers.
