INVITATION FOR BIDS (IFB) No. 025-013

CONSTRUCTION OF THE ALEXANDRIA STATION IMPROVEMENTS AND KING STREET AND COMMONWEALTH AVENUE BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT

The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) is soliciting Bids to establish a Contract with one (1) qualified and experienced Contractor to reconstruct the existing platforms and construct new elevators at the Alexandria Station, located at 110 Callahan Drive, Alexandria, VA 22301, as well as to replace the existing railroad structures over King Street and Commonwealth Avenue, and associated site/civil work.

If potential Bidders are accessing a copy of the IFB via VRE’s website, be advised that it is your responsibility to monitor this site for any addenda.  Failure to submit signed addenda may be grounds to declare your Bid non-responsive.  If there is a question about the closing date, the date printed on the IFB, or as Amended, is the most current.

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting to discuss the requirements of this solicitation with prospective Bidders will be held on July 8, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. EST at 1800 Diagonal Road, #300, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Bids are due August 7, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. EST.
