THE CITY OF LACONIANEW HAMPSHIRE__ aconiREQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONSNo. 26-04-02QCARPENTRY SERVICESDEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKSDue 2:30PM Friday, May 15, 2026CITY OF LACONIAREQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONSRFQ No. 26-04-02QCARPENTRY SERVICESThe City of Laconia Department of Public Works is soliciting statements of qualifications from NewHampshire Licensed Contractors to perform on call carpentry services for a three (3) year period.Statements shall be submitted to Purchasing Specialist, 45 Beacon St. East, Laconia, New Hampshire03246 by 2:30pm, Friday, May 15, 2026 with the outside of the envelope labeled "Carpentry ServicesRFQ"The City of Laconia reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all submissions or any part thereof, towaive any formality in the process, and to accept the submission or submissions considered to be in thebest interest of the City. Failure to submit all information called for may be sufficient grounds fordisqualification. The City of Laconia reserves the right to cancel this request at any time for any reason.INFORMATION FOR PROPOSERSThe City may qualify multiple firms so as to be able to draw from a field of pre-qualified contractors in orderto avoid scheduling delays on City projects. The selected field of qualified contractors will be consideredprequalified for services for up to three (3) years from the date of notification.INSURANCEThe selected firm must provide a Certificate of Insurance that is satisfactory to the City of Laconia (seeattached Insurance Requirements Form).Scope of WorkThe work may consist of routine service, repair, and emergency maintenance of the Department of PublicWorks maintained buildings or as needed for various repairs due to ongoing Public Works projects on anon-call basis. A written estimate shall be provided and approved prior to the commencement of work. Thesuccessful Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, services, equipment, tools, supplies, and all otherthings necessary to do all work required for the completion of each item of Work and as herein specified.The work covered under each item is not limited to what is specifically listed but also includes any additional orincidental work that is normally required to fully complete that item. The Contractor must comply with allapplicable regulations. The Contractor shall comply with all applicable OSHA regulations and maintain aworkplace safety program appropriate to the scope of work. Relevant safety training, including OSHAconstruction training, may be requested by the City prior to assignment of work.Services to include but not be limited to the following:• Framing• Window installation• Door installation• Deck installation• Finish carpentry• Other tasks requiring the services of a NH Licensed contractorThe City may qualify multiple firms so as to be able to draw from a field of pre-qualified contractors in orderto avoid scheduling delays on City projects. The selected field of qualified contractors will be consideredprequalified for services for up to three (3) years from the date of notification.Interested firms should submit three (3) copies of a "Statement of Qualifications" including, at a minimum,the following information which will be used to evaluate and rank all submissions:• Description of the firm (i.e., size, experience, staff) and resumes of key personnel (i.e., principal-in-charge, project manager, cost estimator).• Evidence of technical competence of the firm and past record of performance on similar contracts.References, with contact information, for similar services completed within the last three years,specifically for the key personnel proposed.• Description of the firm's current workload commitments, and the firm's capacity to participate inthis project.• Statement concerning whether there is a real or perceived conflict of interest.• Other information you consider pertinent to your firm's consideration.Vendors shall submit questions via email; however, The City assumes no liability for ensuring accurate andcomplete email transmission/receipt and is not responsible to acknowledge receipt. Inquiries must besubmitted in writing, citing the RFP title and number. They must be received no later than Friday May 1,2026The City will consider all timely-received questions and requests for change and, if reasonable andappropriate, will issue an addendum to clarify or modify this RFQ. Answers to vendor submitted questionsand other addenda will be posted on the City of Laconia websiteThree Copies (3) of the qualifications bid will be Received at the City of Laconia Purchasing office until2:30pm (EST) on May 15, 2026.
