NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Electronic bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Washington County, Ohio,

on behalf of the Washington County Engineer, 103 Westview Ave, March 3, 2026 at 9:00am and will be

opened immediately thereafter for:

The furnishing of all services, labor, equipment and materials required for the Hune Covered Bridge

Rehabilitation Project T-921-0050 in Washington County.

NOTICE: ONLY ODOT-PREQUALIFIED CONTRACTORS ARE ELIGIBLE TO SUBMIT BIDS FOR THIS

PROJECT. PREQUALIFICATION STATUS MUST BE IN FORCE AT THE TIME OF BID, AT THE TIME OF

AWARD, AND THROUGH THE LIFE OF THE CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT. FOR WORK TYPES THAT

ODOT DOES NOT PREQUALIFY, THE LPA MUST STILL SELECT A QUALIFIED CONTRACTOR.

SUBCONTRACTORS ARE NOT SUBJECT TO THE PREQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT. THE PRIME

CONTRACTOR MUST PERFORM NO LESS THAN 30 PERCENT OF THE TOTAL ORIGINAL

CONTRACT PRICE.

The estimated cost of this project is $1,678,842 and the project cannot be awarded if the bid price

exceeds the estimate by 10%.

Copies of the Construction Plans, Bidding Forms, and Specifications on the Unit Price Contract

may be viewed via Bid Express. A copy of the ODOT specifications is available in the County Engineer’s

Office for review.

Each bid shall have filed with it a bid guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or

letter of credit revocable only at the option of Washington County in an amount equal to 10% of the bid or a

bond in accordance with division (B) of Section 153.54 of the Revised Code.

The County Commissioners reserve the right to increase or decrease any quantities, waive any

informalities or technicalities, and may reject any/or all bids as may be deemed to be in the best interest of

Washington County.
