General Description

The Greenville Area Recreation & Community Center is replacing the existing drapery at the back of the

auditorium and adjusting onstage drapery locations.

Bid Information

Any changes and/or addenda to this RFP will be posted on www.greenvillemi.org under the bids tab. Any

and all questions regarding this RFP shall be directed to the principal contact listed above.

Due Date

Bids are due 2:00pm, Tuesday, April 14, 2026

Submission of Bids

Please submit your sealed bids using the attached bid form, as well as all other requested information. No

late bids will be accepted. One copy of the proposal shall be delivered to:

Evaluation of Proposals

The City will review submitted bids and other relevant information. The City reserves the right to accept

or reject any response for any or no reason and to waive any minor irregularity if determined to be in the

best interest of the City of Greenville.

Selection of Proposals

Once the winning proposal is selected, the City will draft an agreement. Upon bidder approval and

execution, it will be presented to Council for approval.

Scope of Work

The Greenville Area Community Center in the City of Greenville is requesting proposals to upgrade

drapery at the back of the theater and to adjust the location of the onstage drapery.

Any quantities, measurements, or equipment stated are estimates only, and each contractor is responsible

for assessing bid specifications and theater needs. Failure to assess the bid specifications and obtain your

own measurements will not relieve the successful bidder of an obligation to furnish all products and labor

necessary to carry out the provisions of the contract and to provide a turnkey product.

An independent site visit and inspection tour may be scheduled upon vendor request. Contact

Theater Coordinator, Maddi Mayle, to schedule a meeting. Site visits must be conducted prior to

Apr. 8, 2026.

REAR OF HOUSE DRAPERY REPLACEMENT SPECIFICATIONS

Contractors must provide and install drapery according to requirements below.

General Requirements:

1. Examine existing drapery and track at the back of the House. Take the necessary measurements to

ensure accuracy.

2. Remove and dispose of existing drapery and track.

3. Provide all necessary preparation and installation materials.

4. Furnish and install new track and drapery.

1. Drapery description:

a. 20oz Crescent IFR with 50% fullness

b. Chain in enclosed pocket

c. Color: Black

2. Individual drape measurements:

a. 1 pc 94”H x 20’W

b. 1 pc 94”H x 14’W

c. 1 pc 94”H x 52”W

d. 1 pc 94”H x 79”W

e. 1 pc 85”H x 80”W

f. 1 pc 85”H x 52”W

g. 1 pc 85”H x 50”W

Track Specifications:

1. 64’ Weiss Align Light Duty Beam Track

2. Mounted to ceiling or wall as needed

3. Misc. Hardware as needed

ONSTAGE DRAPERY ADJUSTMENT SPECIFICATIONS

Contractors must adjust onstage drapery according to requirements below

General Requirements:

1. Remove mid border drape.

2. Move Stage Left and Stage Right second leg drapes upstage approximately two feet.

3. Ensure new location has optimal sight lines and full functionality of both legs. If unsatisfactory,

make necessary adjustments.

General Project Specifications

Submittals

1. Product Data: Include construction details, material descriptions, and any substitutions for

products listed in bid specifications. If substituting any fixture, material, etc., provide a side-by-

side comparison of substitute and original listed above.

Execution

A. EXAMINATION

1. Examine areas where drapery is to be installed and adjusted, with Installer present, for

compliance with requirements for installation tolerances and other conditions affecting

performance of the Work.

2. Proceed with installation only after unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected.

B. INSTALLATION

1. Install materials to comply with reference safety standards and manufacturer’s written

instructions.

Commencing And Completion Of Work

The installation schedule shall accommodate any and all use of the theater by the Greenville Area

Recreation & Community Center. The schedule will be coordinated with the Theater Coordinator.
