00 11 00 NOTICE TO BIDDERSBID #_952NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the San Ramon Valley Unified School District (“District”) willreceive sealed bids before 2:00 p.m. on April 9, 2026, for the award of a contract for:Iron Horse Middle SchoolClassroom Building Roof ReplacementThe Bid Package including the drawings and specifications may be obtained starting March 24,2026 from Gigi Gines at ggines@srvusd.net.Bid Packages shall be received at San Ramon Valley Unified School District, FacilitiesDepartment at 3280 Crow Canyon Road, San Ramon CA 94583, and shall be opened andpublicly read aloud at the above stated time and place. Bids must be sealed and clearly markedIron Horse Middle School Classroom Building Roof Replacement, Bid No. 952.” No bid willbe accepted by the District after this time. Facsimile or electronic copies of the bid will not beaccepted.This Contract is not subject to prequalification.The Project includes roof replacement on a two-story classroom building. There will be amandatory Pre-Bid Conference at Iron Horse Middle School , 12601 Alcosta Boulevard, SanRamon CA, on March 26, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. for the purpose of acquainting all prospectivebidders with the bid documents and the work site. Bidders not attending the mandatory Pre-BidConference will be disqualified.The Contract is estimated at approximately Two Hundred and Seventy Thousand Dollars($270,000).Each bid must conform and be responsive to this notice and all other documents comprising thecontract documents. All interested parties may obtain additional information by contacting SeniorProject Manager, Rick Kendrick at rkendrick@srvusd.net.All forms must be completed, signed, and returned with the bid. No bidder may withdraw its bidfor a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date set for the receipt of bids. The successfulbidder shall file a Payment Bond issued by an admitted Surety authorized to conduct business inthe State of California approved by the District. A Performance Bond will also be required.Owner, or its designee, has determined that certain materials, services, products or thingsdesignated by specific brand or trade name shall not be subject to Public Contract Code section3400(a) in order that a field test or experiment may be made to determine the product’s suitabilityfor future use; in order to match other materials, services, products or things in use on a particularOwner public improvement either completed or in the course of completion; in order to obtain anecessary item that is only available from one source; and in order to respond to an emergencydeclared by Owner. TheDirector of Industrial Relations has determined the general prevailing rate of per diem wages inthe locality in which this work is to be performed for each craft or type of worker needed to executethe contract that will be awarded to the successful bidder. Copies, of which, are available to thepublic on the internet at http://www.dir.ca.gov/DLSR/.The successful bidder and all subcontractor(s) shall comply with all applicable Labor Codeprovisions, which include, but are not limited to, the payment of not less than the requiredprevailing rates to all workers employed by them in the execution of the Contract, the employmentof apprentices, the hours of labor and the debarment of contractors and subcontractors.Each Bidder submitting a bid must be a Department of Industrial Relations registered contractorpursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 (“DIR Registered Contractor”), unless an exceptionexpressly provided in the Labor Code applies. This project is subject to compliance monitoringand enforcement by the DIR. If awarded the Contract, at all times during performance of the work,the Bidder and all Subcontractors of any tier shall be DIR Registered Contractors and continue tocomply with all DIR requirements.No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with theCalifornia Business and Professions Code at the time the bid is submitted. Each bidder shall havea “Class 39” license and shall maintain that license in good standing through the contractcompletion and all applicable warranty periods.All questions regarding the above referenced project must be documented in writing prior toMarch 31, 2026 by 4:00pm.
