Description: The City of Independence is requesting a proposal from a licensed and insured landscaping company to perform a replacement planting of thirty-seven existing trees in the downtown business district of Independence, KS. The downtown street scape features 4’ x 4’ tree wells set into the concrete sidewalk, covered with metal grates. Existing trees have exceeded the size limits for space and are due for replacement. The existing trees will be removed by city staff. The locations of the tree wells to be replaced are as follows. 100 block of East Main Street 100 block of West Main Street 100 block of South Pennsylvania Avenue 100 block of North Pennsylvania Avenue.
