Addenda will also beposted on the web site aboveSealed GENERAL BIDS for this project will be accepted from eligible bidders at the PurchasingDepartment, Waltham City Hall, 610 Main Street, Waltham, MA 02452 until 10:00 AM on WednesdayFebruary 18th, 2026, at which place and time they shall be opened, read aloud via Zoom and recordedfor presentation to the Awarding Authority. (See City’s website for meeting details)LAST DAY FOR WRITTEN QUESTIONS is at 12PM Friday February 13th, 2026. Questions are to be sentvia e-mail only to cphilpott@city.waltham.ma.usPROJECT STARTING DATE: Not earlier then July 1st, 2026 . The Final Project completion is 90 days fromthe date of the Notice-to-Proceed.Each general bid shall be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond, certified check, or atreasurer’s or cashier’s check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, payable to the City ofWaltham in the amount of five percent (5%) of the value of the bidBids shall be made on the basis of the Prevailing Wage Schedule, as determined by the Commissioner ofLabor and Industries, pursuant to the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws. The Prevailing wageSchedule for this project can be found in the City’s web Site at www.city.waltham.ma.us/bidsBidders’ selection procedures and contract award shall be in conformity with the rules ofCommonwealth of Massachusetts statute Chapter 30, §39M.Performance and Labor and Materials payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price will berequired from the successful bidder.The Awarding Authority reserves the right to reject any or all general bids, if it be in the public interestto do so, and to reject any sub-bid on any sub-trade if it determines that such sub-bid does notrepresent the sub-bid of a person competent to perform the work as specified or that less than threeNOTICE TO BIDDERS00020 - 1Infield RenovationsDecember 2025such sub-bids were received and that the prices are not reasonable for acceptance without furthercompetition.The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Certificate of Insurance, naming the City of Walthamas an Additional Named Insured with a waiver of subrogation, for General Liability and Vehicle Liabilityin the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 in the aggregate and Worker’sCompensation Insurance as prescribed by law.In accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts the undersigned certifies that allemployees to be employed at the worksite will have successfully completed a course in constructionsafety and health approved by OSHA that is at least 10 hours in duration at the time the employeebegins work and shall furnish documentation of successful completion of said course with the firstcertified payroll report for each employee.CITY ORDINANCE.
