The requested services involve modificationof the Effluent Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) to incorporate reclaim and reject valve controlfunctionality, as well as configuration of communication between the RTU and the existingVTScada system.Jim House & Associates, Inc., in coordination with Vyper Automation, has specializedknowledge of the City’s existing PLC programming, RTU configuration, and VTScadaintegration. The requested modifications require direct interaction with the current systemarchitecture, including programming updates and system communication protocols that arespecific to the existing installation.These services also include on-site implementation and testing to ensure proper functionality andsystem reliability. The integration must be performed in a manner that maintains continuity withexisting operations and avoids disruption to critical wastewater treatment processes.Utilizing an alternate vendor would require extensive system familiarization, potentialreconfiguration of existing programming, and could introduce compatibility issues or operationalrisks.
