Description: Introduction The City of Little Canada is seeking to hire a qualified graphic design and marketing firm to provide professional graphic design services for a city brand and logo refresh. The selected firm will work with city staff and key stakeholders, possibly including city council members, to update the typography for the city’s current logo, provide corresponding typography, and refresh the primary, secondary, and grayscale color palettes for the city’s existing brand style guide. Firms can also provide a cost outline for the redesign of the city’s quarterly printed newsletter. City Logo History Based on historical records, the current city logo has been utilized since 1976. The logo, originally a bright red, was adjusted to a more muted shade of red in early 2022. This Request for Proposals is not to redesign the city’s existing and historically significant logo, but rather to modernize the font within the logo, and have that font consistently utilized in city communication efforts. The city’s existing brand style guide is attached as Appendix B. Purpose The city is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide professional graphic design services for a city brand and logo refresh. This proposal also includes an option for redesigning the city’s quarterly print newsletter. Budget Funding for the project has been identified in the city’s general fund.
