Description: INVITATION TO BID PUBLIC NOTICE DATE OF ISSUANCE: Friday, October 10, 2025 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS NAME: Greene County Greene Street Water Service DEPARTMENT ISSUING BID: County Services Date and Location of Pre-Bid Conference (Mandatory) Friday, October 17, 2025, at 9:00 AM 69 Greene Street, Xenia, OH 45385 Deadline for Questions: Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 5:00 PM Deadline to Issue Final Addendum: Monday, October 27, 2025 at 10:00 AM BID OPENING DATE Thursday, October 30, 2025 at 10:00 AM 35 Greene Street, Xenia, OH 45385 Estimate: (Base Bid) $175,000.00 Small Business Goal: __0__% Sealed bids containing 4 original copies will be received by the Greene County Board of Com-missioners until the “BID OPENING DATE”, at which time the bids will be publicly opened at the Commissioners’ Meeting Room, 35 Greene Street, Xenia, Ohio 45385, and read aloud for the: Greene County Greene Street Water Service. Bid forms, specifications, etc. may be obtained upon request from the County Services Department or retrieved electronically from: https://www.greenecountyohio.gov/Bids.aspx , or by going to https://www.greenecountyohio.gov and clicking on “Bids”. Sealed envelopes containing bids must be submitted with the ITB NAME prominently written and displayed on the outside of the envelope/packages. Bids must be submitted on the bid form furnished with accompanying required bonds. Any bids deemed non-compliant shall be rejected. The Greene County Board of Commissioners is tax-exempt. 25-2767 GREENE COUNTY GREENE STREET WATER SERVICE 10/10/25 INVITATION TO BID 00 11 16 - 2 BID AND PERFORMANCE BONDS SELECT ONE: For bids in excess of $50,000.00 and for a contract for the construction, demolition, alteration, repair, or reconstruction of an improvement. Each bid shall meet the requirements prescribed in R.C. 153.54, R.C. 153.57, and R.C. 153.571, and be accompanied by a surety. Said surety must be in the form of a bond for the full amount of the bid, plus all additive alternates, or a letter of credit, cashier’s check, or a certified check drawn on a solvent financial institution, that is made payable to the Board of County Commission-ers, Greene County, Ohio and in the amount of 10% of the base bid, plus all additive alternates. This surety must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the Bidder’s bid is accepted, the Bidder shall execute a contract in conformity to the invitation and the bid. For bids in excess of $50,000.00 and for any other contract authorized by R.C. 307.86 to R.C. 307.92, but not specified above. Each bid shall be accompanied by a surety. Said surety must be in the form of a bond or certified check, cashier’s check, or money order drawn a solvent bank or savings and loan association, that is made payable to the Greene County Board of Commissioners and in the amount of 5% of the bid, plus all additive alternates. (R.C. 307.88). This surety must accompany each bid as a guarantee that if the Bidder’s bid is accepted, the Bidder shall execute a contract in conformity to the invitation and bid. The appropriate surety as outlined above must be submitted with the bid and received no later than 10:00 a.m. on the date of the bid opening. Bids that do not have the actual bond, letter of credit, cashier’s check, or certified check present at the time of opening will be considered non-compliant and will not be read. Failure to submit the bid bond, letter of credit, cashier’s check, or certified check with the bid will result in disqualification of the bid. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a corporate surety bond or certified check on a solvent bank, made payable to the Board of County Commissioners, Greene County, Ohio, for a total up to 100% of the contract price as a guarantee for the faithful performance thereof.
