The work shall be completed by September 30, 2026.Time and effort spent for bid preparation is the responsibility of the bidder. The act of submittinga bid is considered to be full acknowledgement that the bidder has inspected the sites and is familiarwith the conditions. A mandatory walk through is scheduled for Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at9:00 am and to meet near the intersection of Amherst Rd. and Mason Rd.Four copies of the bids shall be marked “Bid on Standing Timber Sale” and delivered to theTown of Merrimack, Finance Department at located at 6 Baboosic Lake Rd, Merrimack, NH bythe date and time specified above.The Successful bidder agrees to pay the estimated sale price in four (4) installments: (a) 25% atthe time of signing the agreement, (b) 25% before the commencement of harvesting operations, orby June 30, 2026 whichever occurs first, (c) 25% before the commencement of harvestingoperations, or by July 30, 2026 whichever occurs first, and (d) 25% before the commencement ofharvesting operations, or by August 30, 2026 whichever occurs first. Over-run of the estimatedtimber value shall be paid for weekly based on mill scale slips after one hundred percent of theestimated stumpage value has been removed. The project shall be completed September 30, 2026.A performance bond of $3,000.00 will be required of the successful bidder.The successful bidder will be required to provide an insurance certificate confirming the followinginsurance coverage: worker’s compensation insurance as required by the State of New Hampshire;broad-form comprehensive general liability insurance in an amount no less than $1,000,000combined single limit per occurrence; and motor vehicle insurance to include bodily injury,property damage, uninsured motorist, and employer’s non-ownership coverage in an amount noless than $1,000,000 combined single limit per occurrence.
