NOTICE TO PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS - Bid No. 226034

Sealed proposals, addressed to the Development Services Office-1st Floor, City Center,

16 Cony Street, Augusta, Maine 04330, and endorsed on the outside of the envelope

with the name of the Bidder, Contractor Name and Bid Number #226034 will be

received by the Purchasing Agent until 2:00pm o’clock (prevailing time) on Tuesday,

May 5, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. Telephone,

telegraph, or facsimile Bids will not be accepted. No Bids will be accepted after the

above stated time and date.

Outline of Work:

The City of Augusta is accepting proposals for a qualified professional firm to

conduct Engineering and Design Services for a Roof Replacement and a Front

Entrance Redesign at Buker Community Center. The selected firm shall provide

services to develop design drawings, project specifications, and shall provide

construction administration for both projects. The selected firm will review the

existing EPDM roof to develop a bid ready set of plans and specifications for a roof

replacement. The selected firm shall also review the existing front entrance and

design an ADA complaint front entrance so the Buker Community Center can be

easily accessed by every resident of the City of Augusta.

The plans, specifications and proposal forms may be obtained at the Department of

Development Services, City Center, 16 Cony Street, Augusta, ME. Bid documents are

available beginning on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at the Development Services Office-1st

Floor at (207) 626-2365 and on the city website. The City encourages women and

minority-owned businesses to submit Bids.
