The North Carolina Department of Public Safety Emergency Management Division and the

Department of Transportation are requesting bids for design bid build of bridges on private roads

over Lytle Creek 1505 Davistown Church Road, Old Fort, over Rose Creek 332 Hefner Road,

Spruce Pine over Cane River 164 Wheeler Farm Drive, Burnsville and over Cane River 89

Timeless Lane, Burnsville to be let at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

The availability for this project is June 22, 2026.

The completion dates are as follows:

Eighty (80) consecutive days after and including the date of availability at 1505

Davistown Church Road, Old Fort

Sixty (60) consecutive days after and including the date of availability at 332 Hefner

Road, Spruce Pine

One hundred forty (140) consecutive days after and including the date of availability at

164 Wheeler Farm Drive, Burnsville

One hundred sixty (160) consecutive days after and including the date of availability at

bidders to have extensive knowledge of the project, an open, virtual Pre-Bid Conference

will be held for all interested parties on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 11:00 am.

strongly encouraged to attend.

Sealed bids must be received in the NC Department of Transportation Division Office

at 55 Orange Street, Asheville, NC 28801 by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Bids must be submitted on the official bid sheet included in the proposal and display

the following statement on the front of the envelope:

to the prime contractor must be prequalified prior to beginning work on the project.
