1412004446 (IFB) Townsend Boulevard Water Main Replacement

The
purpose of this solicitation for Townsend Boulevard Water Main Replacement (this
"Solicitation") is to select a vendor to replace the aging asbestos
cement water mains in the Alderman Park community, which have experienced
repeated leaks and are near the end of their useful life. The new water
distribution system will be installed using trenchless technology
(stitch-moling), prohibiting open cut construction for long runs, and will span
Townsend Boulevard from Alderman Road to Lone Star Road, serving 38 residential
parcels. Construction includes installing nearly 1,900 linear feet of various
new water mains and performing associated road and sidewalk restoration work.
