Sealed proposals will be received by NC State University. Attention Robert M. Cwikla, until 3:00 PM on November 20, 2025, in Conference Room 301, Administrative Services III Building 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695, and immediately thereafter publicly opened and read for the furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the construction of:

The project consists of a renovation of the basement level of the existing four-story Burlington Lab Building (built in 1953, with a 1973 addition), on North Campus. This project renovates 4,163 square feet of vacated shop space into wet-research labs to accommodate three new research faculty. The project includes architectural, mechanical, electrical, and exhaust modifications.

Bids will be received for single prime bid contracts. All Proposals will be lump sum.

Complete plans, specifications, and contract documents will be made available upon request to bidding prime contractors in electronic format through electronic mail. There will be no deposit required for the electronic files provided to the bidders. Plans, specifications, and contract documents can be obtained from CPL Architect and Engineers, PC by contacting Lauren Beverly at lbeverly@cplteam.com after 10/23/2025.

The State reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals.

Pre-Bid Meeting

A Pre-bid meeting will be held for all pre-qualified bidders on October 30, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. in Room 301 of the Administrative Services III Building, located at 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695. The meeting will address project-specific questions.

Notice of Public Meeting for Proposed Alternate Bids for Preferred Products.

An open public meeting will be held on October 30, 2025, at 4:30 pm in Room 301 of the Administrative Services III Building at 2601 Wolf Village Way, Raleigh, NC 27695. The meeting is to identify preferred brand alternates and their performance standards pertinent to this project.

In accordance with GS133-3, Section 64. (C) and State Construction Office procedures, the following preferred brand items are being considered as Alternates by the owner for this project: Schneider Electric Control System Extension by EST. A copy of pertinent sections of the performance standards may be obtained by contacting the designer at the address or phone number noted above.
