SCOPE OF GOODS AND/OR SERVICES AND APPLICABLE SPECIFICATIONS

This Specification establishes the minimum requirements for this solicitation, listed and described in the body of these specifications, to be used as noted, by The School Board of Osceola County, FL.
The School Board of Osceola County serves a large and diverse student population across the district. Each year, the number of students experiencing homelessness continues to rise. To support these students, the intent of this bid is to secure firm pricing and select qualified bidder(s) capable of assembling kits containing selected essential items. The awarded bidder(s) must be able to package these kits according to district specifications and deliver or ship them to designated location(s) as needed. The performance of awarded Bidders shall be in accordance with the terms of the specifications and at the quality standards of service set forth herein.
This bid consists of two (2) lots with groups within that the School Board can award on a per lot basis, all or none for the lots whichever is in the best interest to the district.
A.        LOT 1 - SCHOOL SUPPLIES KIT

This lot consists of three (3) groups: Group A – Primary, Group B – Elementary, and Group C – Jr/High. Please refer to Attachment D – Price Sheet for the list of components included in each group.
To account for any components not listed, the bidder will have the opportunity to offer a percentage (%) discount. This percentage may be included in the "Balance of Product Line" line item within Attachment D – Price Sheet.
B.        LOT 2 – HYGIENE SUPPLIES KIT

This lot consists of two (2) groups: Group A, Female; and Group B, Male. Refer to Attachment D – Price Sheet for the list of components included in each group.
To account for any components not listed, bidders may include a percentage (%) discount under the “Balance of Product Line” line item in Attachment D – Price Sheet.
C.        SUPPLEMENTARY SPECIFICATIONS

In order to promote fair and open competition, the District will not limit this solicitation to specific brands. However, for quality assurance purposes, the District will only consider locally recognizable brands deemed acceptable by the District.
As part of their submission, bidders must list the model number, the number used to place an order, for each item in Attachment D – Price Sheet. Additionally, using Attachment I as cover page, must include cut sheets, providing a clear picture and description of each product being offered. These materials will be used during the evaluation process to verify compliance with the specifications and to assess product quality.
The School Board reserves the right to request samples of any component, which myst be furnished at no cost to the School Board.
