Summary

Mansfield has a RFP opportunity for HPE Aruba Network Switch Infrastructure Hardware to meet the

requirements of student and staff usage in support of learning and teaching. For this purchase, Mansfield

will be seeking USF E-Rate funds.

Background

The Mansfield Public Schools are in Mansfield (Connecticut) and are the local grades pK – 8 School

District.

Core Specifications

Mansfield is seeking quotes for new Hewlett-Packard (HP) / Aruba network switch equipment and

other related connectivity supplies. Please see the table below for specifics. Installation and pre-

configuration services are not requested.

We do not anticipate that we will need to adjust the quantity, but if we do, it will not be a

large adjustment.

While the models above are highly preferred, vendors may optionally propose an alternative

brand and/or model of their choosing, which will be given due consideration. Mansfield

understands that it may need to go with an equivalent model that is different from the one

listed above if a different model is more competitive while still meeting the same

requirements and specifications.

The above specifications do not include installation labor. Mansfield staff will complete the

physical installation of the equipment.

Shipping and Delivery:

The equipment requested above will be delivered to 205 Spring Hill Rd, Storrs-Mansfield, CT

06268.

Proposal Submission Requirements

1. If there are any additional costs for shipping or otherwise, it should be listed on the

quote as a shipping and/or handling charge.

2. Quotes will be accepted in electronic format only. Vendors may use a format of their

own choosing for the quote. Questions about the process should be directed to the

email address and name on this RFP document (see the beginning of this document).

3. The vendor is responsible for submitting a quote for consideration in a timely

manner with a desired deadline of February 5, 2026, by 8:00AM.

Selection Process

Pricing is the driving factor in the selection process; however, it is not the only factor, as

Mansfield will consider the vendor’s ability to fulfill this product request. Mansfield reserves the

right to reject submissions, to select an applicant in a manner that is advantageous to Mansfield,

and to waive formalities in the bidding. Mansfield reserves the right to request additional

information from vendors. Mansfield reserves the right to potentially modify the above quantities

depending on pricing and available funding.

Mansfield does not expressly state or imply any obligation to reimburse responding applicants for

any expenses incurred in preparing submissions in response to this request. The selected firm is

expected to meet any relevant state and federal legal requirements. Mansfield is an equal

Mansfield applies for USF eRate Funding as part of budgeting for this expense (Form 470 is

available via USF eRate) and will take advantage of USF eRate funding towards this item.
