at which time the bids will be publicly open and read in the Office of Procurement.
The City of Springfield invites all interested, qualified persons or firms capable of providing the requested services, to submit bids to enter into an agreement to provide renovations to Forest Park Trolley Barn Pavilion Roof, 299 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, MA 01108. This bid falls under M.G.L. Ch. 30§39M and other procurement statutes.
Work includes removal and replacement of cedar wood shingles, inspection and repair as needed of roof deck, installation of water and ice shield, copper drip, valleys and custom forming drip for radius eaves, and related work. Estimated value of the contract is approximately $135,000.00. Bid documents can be requested through the City’s website; www.springfieldcityhall.com beginning on November 13, 2024.
It is strongly encouraged to attend a site visit on November 20, 2024 at 9:00 AM on site. All questions regarding this bid or its specifications must be made in writing and received by the Office of Procurement no later than November 25, 2024 by 4:30 P.M. (nwalker@springfieldcityhall.com) in order to be considered. The City of Springfield supports the goal of twenty percent minority and women (MWBE) participation in all contracts. Massachusetts Division of Occupational Safety Wage rates apply. The Chief Procurement Officer/Designee reserves the right to waive any informality in and to reject any or all bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
