Description: The West Fargo Public Works Department, within the City of West Fargo, is requesting Quotes for Signs and Sign Materials. Quotes will be received by the City of West Fargo Public Works Department for the purpose of evaluating costs. Sealed Quotes along with a Digital Copy on a flash drive, will be received by the West Fargo Public Works Dept at 810 12th Ave NW, West Fargo ND, 58078, for the purpose of evaluating costs for signs and sign materials. Upon completion of the evaluation by the selection committee, an order may be placed. Quotes will be received until 2:00 PM on February 25, 2026. Ensure the quote is labeled using bold lettering, clearly specifying its purpose and identifying the intended recipient. Requirements: Each bidder shall provide evidence of adherence to the specifications within this Request for Quote. Any items not specifically noted or specified in this Request for Quote that is required in order to supply the material requested shall be considered incidental. Bidders shall provide lump sum pricing on the bid form. The bidder shall note any deviations from the specifications on the enclosed bid form. Each bidder shall provide a warranty period for the Signs provided on the enclosed bid form. Acceptance of Bid: The acceptance of the bids shall be based on the following criteria. Request for Pricing

The West Fargo Public Works Department, within the City of West Fargo, is requesting Quotes for

Signs and Sign Materials. Quotes will be received by the City of West Fargo Public Works

Department for the purpose of evaluating costs. Sealed Quotes along with a Digital Copy on a flash

drive, will be received by the West Fargo Public Works Dept at 810 12th Ave NW West Fargo

ND 58078, for the purpose of evaluating costs for signs and sign materials. Upon completion of the

CITY OF WEST FARGO RIGHTS

The City reserves the right to cancel this Request for Quote in writing or postpone the date and time

for submitting Quotes at any time prior to the proposal due date. The City, by this Request For Quote,

does not promise to accept the lowest cost or any other proposal and specifically reserves the right to

reject any or all quotes, to waive any formal Quote requirements, to investigate the qualifications and

experience of any Vendor, to reject any provisions in any proposal, to modify Request For Quote

contents, to obtain new quotes, to negotiate the requested services and contract terms with any Vendor,

or to proceed to do the work otherwise.

The City hereby notifies all Vendors that it will affirmatively insure that regarding any contract

entered into, pursuant to this request, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity,

and are encouraged to submit proposals in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated

against on the grounds of race, color, sex, or national origin in consideration for an award. The City

reserves the right to accept or reject all proposals that are in the best interest of the City. All questions

Requirements of this Request for Quote

1. Each bidder shall provide evidence of adherence to the specifications within this Request for

Quote.

2. Any items not specifically noted or specified in this Request for Quote that is required in order to

supply the material requested shall be considered incidental. Bidders shall provide lump sum

pricing on the bid form.

3. The bidder shall note any deviations from the specifications on the enclosed bid form.

4. Each bidder shall provide a warranty period for the Signs provided on the enclosed bid form.

The acceptance of the bids shall be based on the following criteria.

Sign Backing Material

1. Flat Sheet Aluminum:

Provide flat sheet aluminum that is an alloy meeting ASTM B 209 or 5052-H38.

Anything over 36” should be .080”.

2. Shop Surface preparation and processing:

Prepare sign sheeting and panels to conform with the reflective sheeting

manufacturer's warranty requirements.

General

1. Materials:

When submitting the certificate of compliance for retroreflective sheeting, submit

manufacturer warranties and guarantees for materials, parts, workmanship, or performance.

Apply retroreflective sheeting according to manufacturer's recommendations. Treat the

surface of the barricade rails, drums, or cones as recommended by the sheeting manufacturer

before applying the reflective sheeting.

2. Silk Screen Printing:

Use retroreflective sheeting within one year from the manufactured date. Mark the

packaging cartons or roll goods with the manufacturer's lot numbers and manufacture date.

3. Digital Printing:

Fabricate digitally printed signs using equipment, materials and processes that have been

certified by the sheeting manufacturer. Submit a copy of the certificate to the Engineer with

a certificate of compliance. Follow the sheeting of the manufacturer's quality control

process during the manufacturing process. Apply a UV-protective clear overlay to the entire

face of the sign supplied by the reflective sheeting manufacturer.

4. Type XI Retroreflective Sheeting:

Provide Type XI Retroreflective sheeting that meets ASTM D 4956, Type XI

5. Aluminum Prep and Conversion Coating:

Must Meet ASTM B921 Class 2. The City of West Fargo will not accept ASTM B449 Class

2 as this uses Hexavalent Chromate.
