REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR

Jar Systems Batteries

To: All Interested Vendors

You are invited to submit a formal proposal (bid) for Jar Systems batteries for the Barrow

County School District in accordance with the attached General Conditions and Specifications.

Proposals from bidders will be received by Barrow County Schools, 179 W. Athens St., Winder,

Georgia 30680 until 11:00 AM local time, on Monday, June 15th. Proposals must be emailed to

the attention of John St.Clair at itsbids@barrow.k12.ga.us.

Emailed proposals will only be deemed accepted for consideration upon delivery of a

confirmation email from jstclair@barrow.k12.ga.us to vendor’s email indicating receipt of

proposal. If vendor does not receive confirmation of receipt of proposal via email, vendor

should consider proposal not to have been delivered.

Barrow County reserves right to postpone bid opening to later the same day beyond original due

date/time in event of delay of email services. Once time has been called and the first proposal

has been opened, any proposals received thereafter will be rejected. Proposals must be valid

for a period of 90 days after bid opening. Barrow County Schools reserves the right to reject

any and all bids or to waive any informality in bidding.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Along with any other materials, vendor must submit Vendor Response Page below as the first page of response,

and vendor quote with detailed breakdown of components must begin on second page.

The Barrow County School System seeks competitive bids for Jar Systems batteries as per the specific criteria to

follow. Actual quantity selected will depend on final costs, but anticipated quantities are listed in general conditions

below. No quantities are guaranteed. Vendor must specify if there are any limits on quantity of units district may

purchase in response to this RFP.

Vendor must specify estimated ship times for anticipated quantities listed below and describe any anticipated

delays in manufacturing or delivery.

Components must be new and sold through authorized manufacturer channels. No grey market responses will be

accepted. Proof of authorization to sell manufacturer’s products being offered may be required before

responses will be accepted. Failure to provide requested proof may result in proposal being rejected.

SPECIFIC CRITERIA

PREFERRED

• USB-C Active Charge Power Bank Kits (yellow) - PBYLUSBC. Anticipated quantity 125 kits for a

total of 500 batteries. Must come with USB-C to USB-C cables.

ALTERNATE – if kit PBYLUSBC is unavailable or more expensive, vendors may propose:

• USB-C Active Charge Power Bank Kits (black) - PBUSBC. Anticipated quantity 125 kits for a total of

500 batteries. Must come with USB-C to USB-C cables.

Trade Names “or Equal” Clause

No manufacturer or model substitutions will be allowed.

The Barrow County School System may accept any bid offered on an all, some, or none basis, within funds

available, whichever is in the best interest of the school system.
