Scope of Services
Kindermusk         This letter shall serve as confirmation that Kindermusik International is the sole publisher and source for the following services and products:

1. Music and Movement Curriculum: Kindermusik International exclusively develops and distributes a comprehensive music and movement curriculum designed to enrich early childhood development through research-based, music-integrated learning experiences.

2. Curriculum Products and Materials: All associated educational products, including instruments, physical and digital lesson plans, music, teaching tools and resources.

3. Training and Professional Development Workshops: All in-person and virtual training sessions related to the Kindermusik curriculum are delivered exclusively by Kindermusik International and our contracted trainers.

4. Digital Renewal and Online Access: Kindermusik International is solely responsible for providing, renewing, and managing access to our online platform and digital content. This includes yearly renewal and related support services to its users.
This copyrighted material is produced and manufactured exclusively by Kindermusik International, Inc., an employee-owned company based in Greensboro, North Carolina, USA, and is not available from any other publisher or vendor.
Sole Source Letter and Specifications are attached separately. Please see the written justification for the questions below:

a. Kindermusik International is the only vendor providing the School’s Curriculum Kits. These kits include Kindermusik-owned curriculum content (units with music and stories) that come with instruments and props, including exclusive items such as egg shakers, one-bell jingle sticks, chime balls, zig zag blocks, and more. Additionally, the digital music and corresponding resources are only available through Kindermusik on my.kindermusik.com and on the Kindermusik app. All materials have Kindermusik copyright and trademark.

b. Kindermusik International offers a unique music-and-movement based enrichment curriculum that enables anyone to teach this curriculum through the one-of-a-kind teach-along audio. Through independent research, Kindermusik has only found competitors in this market who provide stand-alone music or books, or who provide musically-trained professionals to lead the program. There are limited music education resources available that provide the level of comprehensive teaching accessible as Kindermusik to all early childhood educators.

c. The curriculum kits are vital to the District as the product offers early childhood music & movement developmental resources that focus on expressive and receptive language, whole body and fine motor movement, cognition, sensory awareness, musical skills, and social-emotional development. In addition to the kits, teachers will have access to our online resources that include extended teacher guides, musical activity database, class music and narrated books, and more. Teachers can also provide their families with digital access to home albums, narrated books, and activities for home usage.

d. The product is unique in that our school’s curriculum is specifically designed for the classroom with guided audio and was developed solely by Kindermusik. Digital access that teachers and families receive are unique and aligned to the Kindermusik curriculum and not available anywhere else.

e. While the Kindermusik curriculum is fully designed and all encompassing, it also provides flexibility for users to adapt and integrate the content and resources as appropriate for their circumstance and with their other curriculum.

f. If the user agency discontinues use of the products and services, then teachers will lose access to the digital curriculum and resources, including music access. Families would also lose their digital access to the digital home materials mentioned previously.
