The email timestamp willserve as the official record of submission time. Alternatively, bids may be delivered in person to400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro, NC 27510. Please note that in-person deliveries must becompleted by 5:00 PM on May 19, 2026. Any bids received after the stated deadlines will notbe accepted.Bids will be received for a Unit Price General Construction Contract. The Contractor and allSubcontractors shall have valid North Carolina General Contractor’s Licenses for the type andvalue of the work to be performed.The Project consists of furnishing all materials, labor, equipment, tools, etc. unless otherwisespecified, for the complete and operable installation of:Restore the trench area of the water main installation and mill and overlay the disturbedareas per the TOCH paving requirements and all associated appurtenances as describedin the Specifications and as shown in detail T-7.01.The foregoing description shall not be construed as a complete description of all work required.Beginning on the 28th of April 2026, the Contract Documents will be on file in the in theAdministrative Offices, 400 Jones Ferry Road, Carrboro, North Carolina. Electronic copies willbe transmitted to bidders by request through email, free of charge, by contacting Adam Hollowayat Aholloway@owasa.org.The Contract Documents may be viewed free of charge at the Administrative Offices, 400 JonesFerry Road, Carrboro, North Carolina.Orange Water and Sewer Authority has adopted a minimum ten (10%) percent goal forparticipation by minority businesses in the total value of the work for this project in accordancewith Section 143-128.2 of the General Statutes of North Carolina.Each Bidder shall be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes.Bidders are notified that “An Act to Regulate the Practice of General Contracting,” was ratifiedby the General Assembly of North Carolina on March 10, 1925, and that this Act andsubsequent Amendments, will be observed in receiving and awarding Contracts.Invitation To BidOrange Water & Sewer Authority Meadowbrook Drive Paving RestorationEach bidder is required to submit a Non-Collusion Affidavit pursuant to Section 133-30 of theGeneral Statutes of North Carolina.To ensure that all Bidders are kept up to date on any Addenda, changes, or information notices,please send an e-mail to: Aholloway@owasa.org indicating your intention to prepare a Bid forthe Project. Failure to complete this step may render your Bid as non-responsive.Each Bidder is advised that the Work may be inspected and supervised by an Engineer or firmunder the direction of Orange Water and Sewer Authority.
