Description: City of Salem (Owner) is requesting Bids for the following: Electric Power Line Right-of-Way Tree Trimming and Clearance (ITB #2027-003). Bids for this Invitation to Bid will be received at the Salem Purchasing Department located at 114 N. Broad Street, Salem, VA 24153, until Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. local time. Bids may be submitted by hand delivery or mail to the address above, or electronically through eVA at https://eva.virginia.gov/ , the Commonwealth of Virginia's electronic procurement portal. Electronic submission is accepted only through eVA; faxed or emailed Bids will not be accepted. At that time, all Bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud for the information of Bidders and other interested parties at 3:05 P.M. (Local Time) in City Hall Council Chambers, 114 North Broad Street, Salem, Virginia 24153. Interested parties may attend the bid opening in person or virtually. The ITB includes the following Work: The work shall include, but shall not be limited to, tree trimming, vegetation management, and right-of-way clearance for the City of Salem's electric transmission and distribution system, including routine clearance cutting, hazardous tree removal, and emergency storm response, as described in the Scope of Work. Bids will be received for a single Contract. Bids shall be submitted on an hourly billing-rate basis as indicated in the Bid Form.
