If awarded the contract, the successful contractor must obtain a business licensefrom the City of Columbus. However, if the business is located in Georgia and has proof of being properly licensedby a municipality in Georgia, and paid applicable occupation taxes in that city, the contractor will not be requiredto pay occupation taxes in Columbus, GA.
