REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS FOR BEACH

VENDORS FOR 2026 SEASON

The Town of Dauphin Island is accepting proposals from qualified respondents to serve as

vendors at one or more of three town-owned beaches for the 2026 season.

The following locations and types of vendors sought are as follows:

1. East End Beach, 51 Bienville Boulevard:

a. Food vendor

b. Non-food vendor, for example, sale of trinkets or other non-food items, etc.

2. Middle Beach, 1551 Bienville Boulevard:

a. Non-food vendor, for example, sale of trinkets or other non-food items, etc.

3. West End Beach, 3000 Bienville Boulevard:

a. Non-food vendor, for example, sale of trinkets or other non-food items, etc.

4. Other opportunities may become available.

Additional considerations:

• The Town does not allow duplication of the same services at the same location. For

example, only one vendor at the East End Beach could sell food items but another could

sell non-food items, etc.

• The Town has a vendor at Middle and West End Beaches that rents jet skis, beach chairs

& umbrellas, and other related items. Therefore, no additional similar vendors will be

permitted at those two beaches.

• Food vendors agree to pay the Town $500.00 per month for rent. Non-food vendors agree

to pay the Town $250.00 per month for rent.

• Vendors are authorized to sell items after obtaining all necessary legal documents and

licenses required to do such, including meeting all requirements of the Mobile County

Health Department, if applicable. Copies of these documents and licenses shall be

provided to the Town. A Town of Dauphin Island business license is required for all

vendors.

• Vendors shall procure and maintain general liability insurance in an amount not less than

$1,000,000 naming the Town as additional insured at vendor’s' expense during the term

of this agreement.

Proposals shall be submitted in sealed envelopes with the following information on the

front of the envelope: respondent’s complete name, address, & phone number, and “2026

Beach Vendor Proposal”.

Proposals will be accepted until 12:00 pm (CST) on Friday, April 3, 2026.

All proposals are to be sent via mail or hand delivered to Town of Dauphin Island, ATTN: Town

Clerk, 1011 Bienville Blvd., Dauphin Island, Alabama 36528.

THE TOWN OF DAUPHIN ISLAND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY

AND/OR ALL SUBMITTED PROPOSALS.

The Town reserves the right to have additional vendors on site for special events.
