I-1NOTICEINVITATION TO SUBMIT SAMPLESTO THEMETROPOLITAN WATER RECLAMATION DISTRICT OF GREATER CHICAGO26-633-SMPPOLYMERS FOR TESTING AT THESTICKNEY WATER RECLAMATION PLANTSAMPLE SUBMISSIONS ARE DUE FEBRUARY 24, 2026The Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (District) will conducttests at the Stickney Water Reclamation Plant (WRP) beginning in March 2026, to selectsuitable Mannich polymers for dewatering the anaerobically digested sludge. OnlyMannich polymers will be considered for this evaluation.Submittal of polymers for testing at the Stickney WRP will take place in accordance withprocedures set forth in this document.Only manufacturers may submit polymers for testing. Prospective suppliers shouldcontact manufacturers to request that they participate in the testing program. At the timeof bid solicitation, any suppliers authorized by the manufacturer, as well as manufacturersthemselves, may participate in bidding.The procedure to submit polymers for testing includes:1. Manufacturers submit polymer data in the required "Polymer Data Form," as well aspint-sized polymer samples for acceptance testing, as set forth in this document, by11:00 AM (Central Time) on February 24, 2026.2. Each manufacturer may submit up to two Mannich polymer samples.3. For each polymer found qualified via the initial pint-sized sample and data, the Districtwill estimate a larger quantity needed for full-scale, controlled comparison testing andinform manufacturers of the quantities needed and the date by which the largerquantities must be received.4. During full-scale testing, the District will calculate the quantity of each polymer requiredto properly condition the total anticipated amount of sludge for the contract period.5.
