Bid Title: Davidson County Landfill Bridge Repair
Category: RFP's Status: Open Description: Project involves rehabilitation and repair work to the existing Davidson County Landfill Bridge in Davidson County
NC. Work includes timber replacement, replacing concrete approach slabs, cleaning and painting existing steel beams,
and removing debris.
All prospective contractors shall comply with all applicable state and federal laws, regulations, executive orders, and the
terms and conditions of the funding award. In addition, contractors providing submittals shall be responsible for
complying with state law and local ordinances.

interested bidders in PDF format. No plan deposit is required.
A Mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday February 11, 2025 at the County offices at 925
North Main Street, Lexington, NC 27292. Prospective bidders are to meet to discuss the project and answer pertinent
questions. All prospective bidders are required to attend the pre-bid conference. The Engineer will answer questions on
this project until 12:00 noon, Friday February 14, 2025.
Each Bid must be made on the forms provided in this PROJECT MANUAL (unless otherwise noted) and must be
enclosed in a sealed envelope and addressed to: Davidson County, Attn: Dwayne Childress, Support Services
Department, 925 North Main Street, Lexington NC 27292. The name and address of the Bidder should be plainly
written on the outside of the envelope, and the envelope is to marked with “Bid for Davidson County Landfill Bridge
Repairs”.
Mailed bids are to be addressed to: Davidson County, Attn: Dwayne Childress, Support Services Department, 925
North Main Street, Lexington NC 27292 Re: Bid for Davidson County Landfill Bridge Repairs. Mailed bids must
be received prior to the bid opening by the date and time specified above. No Bid will be accepted after the official date and time. Bidders are responsible for ensuring delivery of mailed proposals before the scheduled bid opening.

The provisions of North Carolina General Statutes 143-128 and 143-129, included guidelines for single-prime
contracting and minority business enterprise participation, shall be observed in letting and executing the Work.
Applicable provisions of North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 87 shall be observed in the receiving of bids and
awarding of contract.

8Special Requirements: All Bidders must submit a bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, a certified check, a cashier’s check, or a money order
(no cash) in the name of the Owner (Davidson County) in the amount of 5% of the bid amount.
A separate performance bond and payment bond, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract price
